Keep your portable toilet neatly stored in an 888CamperWorks Buddy Box. Designed around the Thetford Porta Potti 165 and 365, this UK-made campervan toilet storage box has a choice of lift-off or hinged lid, side carry handles and rear access panels with a central opening.
Choose your lid
- Lift-off lid — £79.95: a removable lid with an underside locating frame. No hinges are required.
- Hinged lid — £89.95: a lid attached to a fixed rear strip, using the same concealed hinge and mounting-plate system as our overhead lockers. The two hinges and matching plates are included.
These prices include VAT and assembly hardware, without the optional fitting kit. Both lid versions have two full-height rear panels surrounding a 220 mm-wide central access opening.
Size and material
- Overall: 470 mm wide × 560 mm deep × 510 mm high, with the lid closed.
- Main internal space: 422 mm wide × 512 mm deep × 442 mm high; the lid fittings occupy some of the space at the top.
- Board thickness: 18 mm throughout.
- Material: choose unfinished Plywood or MDF at the same price.
- Front access cut-out and a carry slot in each side panel.
Plywood has a natural wood surface and layered edges. MDF has a smooth surface suitable for painting. Finish and seal the board and exposed edges before use around moisture; finishing products are separate.
Porta Potti compatibility
Designed around the published closed dimensions of the Thetford Porta Potti 165 and 365: 383 mm wide × 427 mm deep × 414 mm high. Check your actual toilet and available van space before ordering, and allow room to open or remove the lid. Take the toilet out of the box for use and servicing.
Supplied flat pack
Includes CNC-cut panels, assembly brackets, matching screws and inserts, and an illustrated assembly guide. The hinged version also includes its two hinges and mounting plates. The lift-off lid uses a bonded locating frame; suitable wood adhesive is required and is not included.
Optional fitting kit (+£9.99): L brackets and screws for attaching furniture to the campervan wall or ceiling, following your vehicle installation requirements. This is separate from the assembly hardware included with every box. Secure the box and toilet appropriately before travel.
Toilet, cushion, tools, adhesive, finishing products and transport restraints are not included. Images are CAD renders showing the plywood version; wood grain varies, and assembly hardware is omitted from the renders. Interior pictures remove the lid for visibility. Fit check Make sure it fits before you order Guide
- Measure the usable side-wall width. Check clear space from the bulkhead area towards the rear doors, allowing for trim, tie-down points and any existing lining.
- Measure available height from the van floor. Make sure the selected height clears roof ribs, windows, handles and anything mounted on the side wall.
- Check the depth works in your layout. Confirm it will not clash with doors, tools, wheel arch position or the space you need down the centre of the van.
