SWB 1400 U-Shaped Campervan Conversion Kit – Kitchen Fridge Version

A U-shaped campervan lounge and bed with a stepped kitchen designed around a front-opening fridge bay. A separate cupboard beside the kitchen provides storage for an AFERIY P210 power station, while the right bench has a conventional hinged storage cupboard.

Choose your finish and extras

• Plywood: natural unfinished plywood, ready for your protective finish.
• Black Hex: black phenolic plywood with a hex-patterned exterior, smooth black reverse and exposed layered plywood edges. Seal exposed edges before use; supplier emboss and grain can vary.
• Door catches, optional +£25: seven matching catch and strike sets, with their screws and inserts.
• Vehicle fitting kit, optional +£10: L brackets and fixings for fitting furniture into your van, separate from the included assembly hardware.

What is included?

• 45 CNC-cut plywood parts for the U-shaped benches, stepped kitchen and three-piece bed infill.
• A kitchen fridge opening with a raised floor, rear ventilation channel and inset worktop vent. Its back edge aligns with the rest of the kitchen.
• A small cupboard and shelf above the fridge opening, plus an adjoining kitchen cupboard.
• A power-station storage cupboard in the short left bench beside the kitchen.
• A forward-facing hinged cupboard with a fixed floor beneath the right seat.
• 14 door hinges, matching plates, furniture assembly brackets, screws and inserts.
• Three flat removable bed-infill panels: one solid tabletop and two ventilated sections.
• Assembly guide, packing checklist and dimension drawings supplied with the kit.

The kitchen butts against the short left bench and fixes to it internally. This version uses a fixed kitchen fridge bay; it does not have a slide-out fridge drawer.

Dimensions and layout

• Overall furniture: 1400 W × 2261 L × 745 H mm.
• Bare seat height: 450 mm.
• Bed length: 1720 mm with a stepped footprint around the kitchen.
• Kitchen: 946 mm long, 575 mm deep at the fridge section, stepping back to 390 mm behind it; 745 mm high.
• Fridge opening: nominal 393 W × 535 H mm, based on a Dometic NRX 50 body measuring 380 W × 510 D × 525 H mm.
• Power-station cupboard timber space: 425 mm across the van × 329 mm along the van × 382 mm high; nominal door opening 340 W × 342 H mm.
• Right front cupboard timber space: 525 W × 735 D × 382 H mm before hardware; nominal door opening 435 W × 332 H mm.
• Construction: 15 mm carcasses, floors, doors, shelf and worktop; 18 mm seat decks, infill panels and support rails.

The infill panels lift out to return to seating. The solid panel doubles as a 445 × 385 mm tabletop; a leg or table mounting system is separate. Undo the four screws and remove the kitchen-side infill rail to open the cupboard behind it, then refit it for bed use.

Choosing your fridge and power station

The Dometic NRX 50 is a size reference, not a supplied appliance or a guarantee that other 50-litre fridges will fit. Check the exact fridge, door swing, fixing requirements and installation manual before ordering. The kitchen provides a low air intake and a continuous rear channel to a 425 × 65 mm inset worktop vent, with a continuous aligned back edge; keep the airflow route clear.

The adjoining cupboard is sized around an AFERIY P210 body measuring 398 × 280 × 315 mm. It is storage only: remove the power station for operation so its cooling clearances can be met. Check handles, plugs and your actual appliance before ordering, and provide a suitable vehicle restraint for transport. Neither appliance is included.

Pallet delivery: £80. Alternatively choose free collection from Medway, Kent at checkout. Collection is arranged when your order is ready.

Check your van before ordering

Choose by your finished interior measurements rather than the SWB label alone. The furniture footprint is 1400 × 2261 mm. Wheel-arch allowances are based on 800 mm length, 250 mm inward projection and 350 mm height, with 20 mm extra clearance and a rear edge 150 mm from the rear of the installation area. Check your actual arches, lining, doors, access and structural fixing points before ordering.

Use the lounge and bed while parked; it is not a travelling passenger seat. Secure the furniture and loose parts for travel. Appliances, cushions, mattress, table support, tools and finishing products are separate. The optional fitting kit does not replace vehicle-specific installation planning.
