Side Racking
Keep everyday tools and materials accessible along the side of your van. Compare model-specific shelving, universal units and modular storage.
Plan the wall space and the walkway
Measure the clear length beside the van wall, the usable height and how far a shelf can project into the load area. Check where wheel arches, bulkheads and door openings interrupt that space. The right rack leaves enough room to load materials and remove tools without moving everything else.
Model-specific or universal shelving?
Use find racking by van make and model for vehicle-labelled layouts. For a measured rectangular space, the three-shelf universal plywood unit offers width and height choices with a 300 mm depth. Universal describes a size-based choice; it does not guarantee a fit in every van.
Choose shelving for the kit you carry
Open shelves suit loose equipment and consumables. Where you use stacked tool cases or smaller organisers, compare the internal openings and retaining edges with the actual items. Browse universal kits and organisers or the wider van-racking range for other layouts.
Check the assembly and fitting requirements
Each product lists its material, dimensions and supplied parts. Assembly hardware and vehicle mounting fittings are different: check what is included before adding fitting accessories. Use the plywood racking fitting guide and keep contents restrained during travel.
